Gustavo Gargiulo was born in 1982. He studied trumpet in his native city, where he integrates several groups and orchestras. His inclination for Early music makes him incursion into baroque trumpet. In 2004, he starts his studies of cornetto after taking a masterclass with Lene Langballe (Denmark).
Between 2005 and 2008, he studied at Centre de Musique Ancienne of Genève (Switzerland) with Professor William Dongois.
He finished in 2012 his studies at CNR Conservatoire de Paris with Professor Jean Tubery, reciving a “Specialization Diplom in Early Music”
Frequently, he also collaborates with the following groups: Capella Mediterranea (Switzerland), Akademie fur Alte Musik Berlin (Deutchland), Elyma (Switzerland), Clematis (Belgium), Akademia (Fr) Barroca del Suquia (Argentina) under the conduction of Leonardo Garcia, Rene Jacobs, Jean Tubery, Francoise Laserre,Gabriel Garrido and Manfredo Kraemer.
He has performed, with these and other groups, in several different places such as churches, palaces, museums and festivals in countries like Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Neederlands, Lithuania, Poland, Malta, India.
He take part in 15 recordings for the following labels: Harmonia-Mundi (Fr / De), Ricercare (Be), Semplice (Lt), Blue-Art (Arg)
He’s developing an important pedagogic training in Argentina (Iuna, Promusica), Brasil (Universidad Estatal de Campinas), Chili (Univerdidad de Viña del Mar) Lithuania (Festivals at Granduche’s Palace) Ambronay’s European Baroque Academy (France).
